Foundations Week Two: Anatomy & Physiology
This module introduces anatomy, physiology, histology, cells, tissues, organs, and the major body systems that support healthy skin and professional esthetic practice.
- Explain why estheticians need knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Describe the basic structure and function of a cell.
- Describe the four tissue types found in the body.
- Identify major body systems and how they relate to esthetics and skin health.
- Recognize the skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, respiratory, digestive, reproductive, and excretory systems.
Students should complete each lesson and topic in order before taking the assigned Week Two assessment.
