Student Kit Expectations
Your Student Kit contains the essential tools for training. You are responsible for maintaining its cleanliness and condition.
- Bring Your Kit to Every Class: Required for all hands-on sessions. No kit = no participation.
- Kit Becomes Your Property: Replacement of lost or broken items is the student’s responsibility.
Clinical I Phase: Orientation & Guidelines
The Clinical I Phase builds foundational skills in a supervised, simulated clinical setting.
Learning Objectives
- Probe coordination & insertion techniques
- Equipment setup & operation (Galvanic, Blend, Thermolysis, Laser)
- Sanitation & sterilization procedures
- Client assessment & documentation
- Professional communication & time use

Responsibilities & Time Use
Students must stay actively engaged: performing, assisting, observing, documenting, or sanitizing. Idle time is not permitted.
Self-Practice Policy
- Max 15% of hours (≈13.5 hrs)
- No more than 2 treatments per body area
- Educators may redirect overuse
Diversity Requirements
- 4+ Fitzpatrick skin types
- Fine, coarse & grey/white hair
- At least 5 body areas (face/neck, underarms, bikini, ears, legs, arms, back/torso)

Clinical II Phase: Practical Expectations
Where knowledge becomes skill. Students must demonstrate professionalism, preparedness, and excellence every day.

Attendance Policy
Online Coursework
- All work due Mondays by 11:59 PM
- Tracked in STARS system
- Missing work = loss of clinical privileges
In-Person Clinical
- Clock in/out via STARS iPad
- Must be on time, in uniform, and prepared
- Unexcused absences may lead to dismissal
STARS Student Account
- Weekly hour tracking posted Wednesdays
- View tuition balance & payments
- Students must monitor progress & hours
Clocking In & Out
- Clock in at arrival on STARS iPad
- Clock out at departure
- Missed punches must be reported immediately
Reminder: Personal devices are not permitted for clocking in/out.
Safe Exam Browser (SEB)
SEB locks down your device during online exams, preventing unauthorized apps, sites, or communication.
- Required for all quizzes & exams
- Blocks notifications, screenshots, multitasking
- Instructor provides SEB config file or link
